Retake guide
Passport photo rejected for expression
Teeth showing, raised brows, or a closed-eye blink.
Why the authority rejects this
Most catalog documents require a closed-mouth neutral expression so facial-recognition templates match the chip photo.
What to do
- Close the mouth, relax the jaw, look at the lens.
- Both eyes open — no ‘smize’ that squints.
- If PicsForm flags expression, retake; do not clone a closed mouth onto a smiling photo.
