Frequently asked questions
Plans, payments, invoices, and how PicsForm prepares document photos. Still stuck? Contact us or open a support ticket.
What size is a US passport photo?+
A US passport photo is 2×2 inches (51×51 mm), typically 600×600 pixels at 300 DPI, on a plain white or off-white background. Head height should be about 50–69% of the frame. PicsForm checks those published rules before you download.
Can I take a passport photo with my phone?+
Yes. Use even front light, a plain background, camera at eye level, and include hair, ears if required, and upper shoulders. Upload the portrait to PicsForm to size and score it against the document you selected.
Does PicsForm use AI to change my face?+
No. We do not reshape, smooth, or beauty-filter your face. We crop, size, and (where the document allows) replace the background. Some authorities, including current US passport guidance, restrict digitally altered photos — always confirm the latest official rule for your application.
Is PicsForm just a photo editor?+
No. Editing is behind the scenes. The product is confidence: pick the exact application, upload a portrait, and we check it against official requirements so a wrong photo is less likely to delay you.
Will you change how my face looks?+
We never reshape, smooth, or beauty-filter your face. Background and crop can change, and we may gently darken or lighten subject pixels for exposure — your native facial features stay the same.
What do Ready, Review, and Retake mean?+
Ready means the photo matches automated requirements. Review means there is no obvious failure, but something (for example expression) needs human judgement. Retake means a known issue — for example head size or background — that you should fix before submitting.
Do you offer a human expert review?+
Human expert review is temporarily unavailable while we finalize that workflow. For now, PicsForm provides transparent Ready / Review / Retake guidance so you know what to fix.
Where are my photos stored?+
After you sign in and pay, compliant photos can be saved to your private vault (My photos) for up to 365 days. Guest download links expire in 14 days unless you claim the order to an account. Other users cannot see your orders, downloads, or API keys. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.
Which payments do you support?+
Razorpay checkout supports UPI, cards, and netbanking when configured. Digital and Print Ready are one-time purchases — no studio appointment required.
What is the difference between Digital and Print Ready?+
Digital includes the official digital JPEG. Print Ready adds 4×6 / A4 / Letter sheets you can download immediately, plus a photo-lab ZIP (same layouts + instructions) you can re-download from your vault for up to 365 days.
Are payments refundable?+
No. Payments are final and non-refundable once successfully authorised, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.
Will I get an invoice by email?+
Yes. When you pay while signed in, PicsForm emails a payment confirmation and professional invoice to your account email. You can also download the invoice anytime from My photos.
Do you guarantee embassy or government acceptance?+
No. Ready / Review / Retake and checklists mean the photo matches published photo requirements we have on file — not that a visa or passport will be approved. PicsForm is not legal or immigration advice. Official rules change and automated checks can miss issues. You remain responsible for verifying the final image against official requirements before submission.
Is PicsForm legal or immigration advice?+
No. We match photographs to published document-photo specifications (size, head height, background, and similar rules). We do not advise on eligibility, visas, or applications.
How do I change my password?+
Sign in, open the profile menu → Settings, then use Update password. Enter your current password and a new password (at least 8 characters).
What permission do I grant when I upload a photo?+
By accepting the Terms checkbox before upload, you grant PicsForm permission to process your image with the PicsForm algorithm and models (including third-party processors) to prepare document-style photos.
Is there a free re-process window?+
Rejection Shield may grant a free re-process for eligible Digital or Print Ready orders within the claim window when a portal rejects the photo for geometry or size issues only — it is not a government acceptance guarantee. Human expert review remains temporarily unavailable; you can still retake and re-check with a better source photo anytime.
