Retake guide

Passport photo rejected — head too small

The face occupies too little of the frame; too much empty background sits above the hair or below the chest.

Why the authority rejects this

Authorities specify a minimum chin-to-crown height. A full-body or mid-torso shot that is later padded with background will still measure too small.

What to do

  1. Move closer until the head is in the published percent band — not until the camera distorts the nose.
  2. Keep the camera at eye height so you are not looking up or down.
  3. If PicsForm reports the head is still too small after processing, retake; do not stretch the face.
