Passport photo rejected — wrong pixel size

The file is not the published width × height in millimetres or pixels.

Why the authority rejects this

A 35×45 mm crop uploaded to a 2×2 inch US form is the wrong shape. Portals that check pixels reject 1200×1600 when they asked for 600×600.

What to do

  1. Select the exact document before you crop.
  2. Do not use a generic ‘passport size’ app that only knows 35×45 mm.
  3. Confirm millimetres and pixels on the PicsForm requirements page for that document.
